The Marine underwriter is responsible for underwriting a profitable book of marine business in Asia for all lines of marine cargo.

Responsibilities

·         Secure profitable renewals and generate new business.

·         Underwrites new and renewal business within the delegated authority level.

·         Supports the negotiation of new business with clients and brokers

·         Develops and supports new business opportunities by implementing marketing initiatives

·         Assist in the development of new products.

Requirements

·         Minimum 5 years of underwriting or broking experience in a marine or marine-related class of business or reinsurance environment

·         Degree holder  or ACII or CII or FCII

·         Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
